It's Nearly Time...

to launch my new blog site. I was lucky enough to have the help of MacGeek today to help tweak the site and it's looking good. Few more little glitches to correct and I'll let you know when and where you can find us :D

Blog Design

I've been rather side tracked recently, I've bought myself my own domain with the intention of eventually moving this blog to there. However currently I'm obsessing over the way it looks, so many beautiful and inspirational blogs out there I want to look like them all. One day I want simple and elegant, the next something new and trendy, then I just want crazy busy pastel patterns!!  All my free time has been taken up with researching this, then when I'm not researching I'm building and trying to write code with very little knowledge of what I'm doing...Fun times!

Vinyl Additiction

Last month I treated myself to a record player, I've wanted one for some time now and I finally found 'the one'. Since then I taken great pleasure in browsing record shop and rummaging in charity shops for LPs.

However yesterday I took it to the next level... 2 hours spent searching in ten charity shops, 8 records bought... £8.50 spent :D

FujiFilm Instax 210

Apologies for being a little quiet recently, it's been my birthday and I do take my birthday celebrations seriously.

One of the best things about birthdays, apart from celebrating with groups friends, is all the lovely gifts!! My favourite gift this year (from my lovely boyfriend) Fujifilm Instax 210... a great feature of this camera is a little clip on lens for self portraits which not only allows you to shoot really close up but has a little mirror so you make sure you're in frame! LOVE IT!

Double Exposure

This is my first attempts at a new project I'm working on, experimenting with double exposures. 

Charity Shopping

As usual I've been rummaging in the Charity shops and got myself tons of wonderful bargains this week, including a vintage cheese knife (20p) and gravy boat (50p), an Edith Piaf LP (£1.50), a gold corset (£5) and this very cute dress (£3)...

The Crown Henlow

On Wednesday I met up with my parents at The Crown in Henlow, a lovely country pub, for lunch. I was very taken with the recycled pallets shelves.... food was lovely too. Thanks Mum & Dad!

Day Out In Cambridge

On Bank holiday Monday James took me for a day out in Cambridge, we looked around the shops and market, walked along to river and watched the punts go by, stopped for coffee and cake in Patisserie Valerie and sat in the park.... the perfect bank holiday.

 

The Great Gatsby

We when to see The Great Gatsby on Sunday, I've been looking forward to it for so long as I love Baz Luhrmann's Romeo & Juliet and Moulin Rouge.

 

I enjoyed the movie and absolutely loved Carey Mulligan's costumes...
