New Dress

To start the bank holiday we took a trip to St. Albans to visit a Goth Exhibition in the local Museum. Whilst we were there we took the opportunity to look around the shops and as usual I found myself rummaging in the charity shops.

The moment I walked into the Cancer Research shop a dress caught my eye... after a closer look and a check of the size, I knew I had to have it. Its perfect and a bargain at only £5.50.

G Dad's Collectables

Today I had the urge to go to G Dad's Collectables in Old Wolverton... it's one of my favourite places for a good rummage for vintage and retro goodies. They have everything from figurines, jewellery, cutlery, crockery, clothes, old toys and books. I love it. They also have a cute little 1940s inspired tea room for a cream tea after you've had a good look around.

I always come home with something from there and today was no different, I purchased two very cute cake stands.

What Katie Ate

On Thursday a cookbook that I have been waiting for, for what feels like forever arrived. I decided to save it until the weekend before sitting down to look though it so I could really enjoy it... it was so worth the wait. Absolutely beautiful, the food styling is inspirational and the book design, also by Katie is gorgeous too. Really happy to have it as part of my beautiful cookbook collection.

Darling Pin Up Cards

I've done it... I tracked down the playing cards from my childhood. After a very long search I managed to find out they were from the 1950s and called 'Darling' playing cards. After I had the name I very quickly managed to find and purchased pack from ebay. They have beautiful illustrations of pin up girls on every card and the three jokers and I absolutely love them.

A very happy nostalgic purchase.
